FAQs

Where do you accept bookings?

We are happy to travel anywhere to play at weddings in the UK and Ireland.

Which parts of the wedding do you usually play for?

We usually play for half an hour before the ceremony as the guests are taking their seats. We also play for the entrance of the bridesmaids and bride, the signing of the register and as you exit after the ceremony. We can also accompany hymns and are happy to accompany any singers or other musicians you may have performing at your ceremony.

What is the booking process?

You can initiate contact with us by filling in our contact form, emailing us, phoning us or meeting us in person. After discussing the details of your booking, we then email out a contract containing all of the details and ask that it be printed off, signed and returned to us by post or email along with the deposit. Once these have both been received we email to confirm your booking.

Can you play outside?

We are happy to play outside though due to the value of our instruments it may not always be possible. In certain conditions it may be necessary to provide cover to protect our instruments. As an alternative we can position ourselves inside so as still to be heard sufficiently outside.

What if one of The Cellists is not available?

We work with a pool of talented cellists around the country. If for any reason a cellist is not able to perform for you we will be sure to find a suitable replacement.

Having chosen specific pieces/songs for my ceremony, do I also need to specify music for the Drinks Reception or Wedding Breakfast?

That’s completely up to you! We don’t mind choosing music at the time to match the atmosphere at your wedding. We are also happy for you to specify certain music for us to play or else you can request more classical, or modern, or a mix of both.

How often do you take breaks?

We need to take a break after each hour of playing, usually for about 10 minutes.
